Our mission is to empower ethnic minority families and elderly individuals in Hong Kong by addressing the unique mental health challenges they face. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone has access to the resources they need to lead a mentally healthy life.

To support our mission, on one hand, we conduct research and organize life-sharing group seminars to collect narratives and life stories from ethnic minority participants. This research helps us gain a deeper understanding of how their backgrounds contribute to their mental health challenges, such as depression and anxiety. By analyzing these narratives and life stories, we can identify common themes and experiences that inform our programs and interventions.

On the other hand, through our programs, we aim to foster a strong community network that promotes early identification of mental health issues and provides culturally appropriate support. By implementing evidence-based practices and interventions, we seek to reduce depression and anxiety among our participants and increase their perceived happiness.

Furthermore, through mindfulness-based practices, we help families develop the ability to self-tackle issues and restore harmonious relationships, leading to improved mental well-being for both elderly individuals and their families.

By conducting research, implementing evidence-based practices, and promoting culturally appropriate support, we aim to break down barriers, raise awareness, and amplify the conversation around mental health in ethnic minority communities. Our ultimate goal is to create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed for optimal mental well-being.
