Join us in our engaging workshop titled "Promoting Mental Health Help-Seeking Behavior by Reducing Stigma." This workshop aims to foster comfort and open dialogue surrounding mental health and mental illness, while equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to respond supportively to co-workers who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
The workshop begins by establishing an understanding of the mental health continuum, various mental health issues, and the risk and protective factors that influence our current mental well-being. Personal stories will be shared to enhance awareness of what it's like to experience mental illnesses such as anxiety disorders or depression. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in case studies that allow them to practice navigating difficult conversations.
An important component of this workshop is the inclusion of mental health first aid within the session. This will provide participants with practical skills to recognize and respond to mental health issues in a safe and supportive manner.
The session also emphasizes the challenges and issues associated with mental health, highlighting the importance of understanding, accepting, and supporting individuals facing any form of mental health concerns.
By the end of the workshop, participants will gain new tools and access to a list of available resources to support their mental health journey. Join us to enhance your understanding and capabilities in promoting mental health inclusivity in the workplace.
